Insulated Garage Doors
About the Installation
We installed this beautiful new insulated garage door for a home in Chesapeake VA. This homeowner had the same old non-insulated pan door on regular tracks for 15+ years. Clearly, it was time for an upgrade! We worked with this homeowner to choose a stylish new garage door that would help protect their home from the weather.
This stunning new overhead door is a fully insulated garage door with a steel back and blown-in polyurethane on high lift tracks. It now has an R-value of 16.0! This new garage door perfectly combines functionality and beauty. The homeowner even said that they plan on adding trimming to really finish out the look! We’re proud to have been a part of this new garage door installation! Are you looking for someone to install an insulated garage door? Garage Door Enterprises is here to help! Contact us today!
Benefits of Insulated Garage Doors
There are tons of reasons to get a new insulated garage door! Besides the curb appeal upgrade, these other awesome things will happen:
Increased energy efficiency — Because of that nice layer of insulation, your garage door won’t let out heat in the winter or cold air in the summer. Not only does this keep your home more comfortable, but it can also help reduce temperature costs! No more drafty rooms above the garage if you have an insulated garage door!
Quieter operation — Insulated garage doors are much quieter to operate than non-insulated ones. The insulation adds strength to the door, which produces fewer creaks and rattles when it’s operating. The insulated garage door absorbs most of the sound when it is in use. This is especially beneficial if your garage door is located near entryways and living areas.
Increased door strength — Since an insulated garage door is thicker, it is more resistant to damage from everyday use. These doors also tend to be more resistant to rusting than their single-layer counterparts. Steel-backed ones, like this one, are even more durable and lightweight. Your insulated garage door will be able to withstand a lot!
